Uriah Ford, Full-Time MBA Class of 2024
Manager, Commercial Leadership Development Program | SanofiLinkedIn

How did your career evolve after starting the MBA Program at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School?

The recruiting process for Sanofi was not complicated. It was communicated well on both ends: C&L and by Sanofi. The biggest hurdle I had to overcome was showing the value that I could bring to the company. I was pivoting from Non-Profit Management and Biomedical Research and had trouble, at first, in communicating what I brought to the table.

How did UNC, Kenan-Flagler Business School, the MBA program, or MBA Career Services help you reach where you are today?

I met with my Career Coach, Spencer Shih, a couple of times and got my story down pact! He helped me to articulate my experiences and relevant skills that would help me to shine during my interview with Sanofi and other Healthcare & Pharma companies during the recruitment season!

What’s are your long-term career goals?

I hope to be at Sanofi for at least 5 years, then we will see where the world takes me! I for sure want to be in the Healthcare sector in some capacity; time will tell!

Is there anyone you would like to recognize for their support?

A huge shout-out to Markus Saba. His Healthcare Brand Plan class and the Healthcare GIE that he led really opened my eyes to all of the ways I could pursue a career in Healthcare around the world! Another big shout-out to the MBA Front Office for always being supportive and letting me come bother them at random times of the day to blow off some steam!
