What industries, functions, or roles are you most interested in pursuing for your internship and beyond?
Currently I am in the process of deciding between Real Estate, Marketing, and Finance.
What drew you to choose UNC Kenan-Flagler for your MBA?
UNC is an incredibly well known school with a great reputation but even more than that, the Carolina community is second to none. The class size is small so we are able to get to know each person in our cohort and everyone I’ve interacted with truly seems to have my best interests at heart, even if I just met them. Additionally, UNC’s emphasis on teamwork and leadership really drew me in. Lastly, I was accepted as a Vetter Dean’s Fellow and I couldn’t pass up that opportunity. I have met some of the most amazing people both through the Vetter Dean’s Fellows and the UNC MBA as a whole.
What’s been the most meaningful or memorable experience so far in your first year (class, project, club, recruiting, etc.)?
Just getting to know so many new people and really connecting with so many of them in such a short amount of time. I feel like I’ve already built so many strong bonds and am looking forward to creating more.
How have your classes, MBA Career Services, or peers helped you prepare for recruiting and internship search?
For me personally, they have helped me narrow down my search. I am still undecided so having people to bounce ideas off of and hear feedback and suggestions has been very helpful.
What’s one lesson or insight you’ve gained during your first year that you think will carry you forward in your MBA journey?
Keep your calendar organized and plan ahead to manage your time.
