Chris Nwosu, Full-Time MBA Class of 2026
Recipient of the Core Values Award | Consortium Fellow | Vetter Dean’s Fellow | MBA Leadership Development Program | Delta Air LinesLinkedIn

Where did you land your internship or full-time role?

MBA Intern at Delta Air Lines → Incoming MBA Leadership Development Program at Delta Air Lines.

Briefly describe your experience in landing this role. What challenges did you overcome?

I learned about the internship during a company visit through a UNC alumnus at Delta Air Lines. In a follow-up coffee chat, he shared the supply chain opportunity, which prompted me to connect with Delta at the National Black MBA Conference. A key challenge I faced was traveling to Atlanta for Superday during a critical school week, but with my professor’s support, I was able to manage the conflict and successfully complete the process.

How did UNC, Kenan-Flagler Business School, the MBA program, or MBA Career Services help you secure this opportunity??

UNC Kenan-Flagler was instrumental in helping me secure this role. Through company presentations and the alumni network, I was able to connect directly with Delta and gain valuable insights that shaped my preparation. MBA Career Services also guided me in sharpening my story and approach, which gave me the confidence to stand out in the process.

What’s are your long-term career goals?

I’m passionate about operations and supply chain management because I enjoy solving complex problems and making systems run more efficiently. Long term, I see myself building a career in this space, either directly within the industry or through a rotational leadership program that will allow me to continue learning, growing, and taking on leadership challenges.

What’s one lesson or insight you hope every MBA student takes with them after graduation?

One lesson I hope every MBA student carries forward is the importance of living out UNC’s core values—integrity, inclusion, innovation, and impact. These principles have guided me throughout my MBA journey, and I believe they will continue to shape how I lead and grow in my career. If we all embrace them, they can help us make better decisions, create inclusive environments, and drive meaningful change in whatever roles we take on after graduation.

Can you share a moment or success story that’s stuck with you during your time in the program?

A highlight of my MBA experience was receiving the Core Value Award and earning several high passes in my classes.

Is there anyone you would like to recognize for their support?

Camille Walton.
