The Role of Luck
I’ve been thinking alot lately about the role of luck, especially as it pertains to the jobs and careers. Sometimes just being in the right place and the right time can make all the difference. This idea of luck was made clear to me after I sat on a career panel last week where 4 other people and I recounted all the ways we were lucky in our own job search and careers. Yes, you still need to work hard and do the work (which all of us did) but even with that we all need a few breaks to go our way. You can read more thoughts about this here.
